Warranty
WARRANTY
TEFCOLD UK Limited, also referred to below as TEFCOLD, us, our or we, warrants that on delivery the Goods shall:
• conform in all material respects with their description and any applicable Specification; and
• be free from material defects in material and workmanship.
• Subject to the exclusions outlined below, effective from July 1, 2025, all new integral products supplied by TEFCOLD come with a 2-year parts warranty and a 1-year labour warranty as standard. For products supplied before July 1, 2025, a 2-year parts warranty applies with no labour coverage.
Parts and labour warranties are treated as separate components, each governed by their own terms and conditions. The expiration or invalidation of one warranty component does not automatically affect the validity of the other component, unless specifically stated otherwise in these terms.
These conditions are in conjunction with our main Terms and Conditions which can be found Terms & Conditions, where additional clauses and information with regards to WARRANTY apply.
Under the parts warranty, all electromechanical parts are covered against manufacturing defects and will be replaced with identical or compatible components at TEFCOLD's discretion during the first two years from the date of product delivery. The labour warranty, where applicable, covers the cost of installation and fitting of warranty-covered replacement parts by TEFCOLD-authorised service personnel during the first year from the date of product delivery.
If during the applicable warranty period:
• the Customer gives notice in writing to TEFCOLD promptly following discovery that some or all of the Goods are defective; and TEFCOLD is given a reasonable opportunity of examining such Goods, TEFCOLD shall, at its option and subject always to the conditions below, repair or replace any defective parts.
Parts Warranty
TEFCOLD shall not be liable for the Goods' failure to comply with the warranty set out in the warranty cover in any of the following events:
• the Customer makes any further use of such Goods after giving notice in accordance with the notification conditions in this cover;
• the defect arises because the Customer failed to follow TEFCOLD's oral or written instructions as to the storage, commissioning, installation, use and maintenance of the Goods in respect of which it is the Customer's responsibility to ensure that it is in receipt on delivery or otherwise or (if there are none) good trade practice regarding the same;
• the defect arises as a result of TEFCOLD following any drawing, design or Specification supplied by the Customer;
• the Customer alters or repairs such Goods without the prior written consent of TEFCOLD;
• the defect arises as a result of fair wear and tear, wilful damage, negligence, or abnormal storage or working conditions; or
• the Goods differ from their description or any applicable Specification as a result of changes made to ensure they comply with applicable statutory or regulatory requirements.
• Further, unless confirmed as being damaged within 24 hours from initial delivery, all cosmetic items and fabricated items are specifically not covered by the warranty.
