WEEE Regulations

WEEE Regulations 2013 (Ref BIS/14/604? The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Regulations 2006 as modified by any subsequent legislation).

WEEE aims to minimise the impact of electrical and electronic equipment on the environment during their lifetimes and when they become waste. It encourages and sets criteria for the collection, treatment, recycling and recovery of waste electrical and electronic equipment.?

The Customer agrees to undertake any duties to report on these activities to the seller, the seller’s compliance scheme or any official body as defined within the Regulations or its amendments. 

The Customer agrees to accept full responsibility for TEFCOLD (UK) obligations under the WEEE Regulations which require TEFCOLD (UK) to be responsible for financing the collection, treatment, recovery and environmentally sound disposal of any product supplied before 13th August 2005, where a similar new product is being purchased. TEFCOLD (UK) will undertake the collection, treatment, recovery and environmentally sound disposal of any product supplied before 13th August 2005 (or outside the scope of the WEEE Regulations) subject to payment of its current disposal fees.
